Happy New Year, Band Night January 28, Manganista!

Happy New Year everybody. I hope you guys had a blast on New Year's Eve ringing it in at Pete's, I know I did! Now that that's out of the way get ready for Saturday January 28th, the Quasi Recordings project is holding their CD realease at Pete's. This was an awesome project Pete's Place is proud to be involved with along with creative mind and awesome-longtime-San-Diego-musician Matt Rhea; and some other talented musicians (listed below and on the poster art!).

The I Helped Bring Picture Head to Life, The Picture Head CD Release party @ Pete's Place Saturday, January 28th, 2012 at 9:30PM.

Qoverdin Questions, Jason Thomas, Ed The Word, No Reply and Milt (long time no see, eh Pete's Peeps?) all performing songs with Manganista off of this new collective CD project. Followed by a full set by Manganista, the first time in almost 3 Years?!?! Wow!

Buy some drinks and please buy a record to support new and upcoming local musicians. Music and the creative arts are a very important part of, and gift to, society. FACT! See you soon!!

This Thursday and This Sunday!!!

This Thursday, August 25th is the last of the La Mesa Village Back to the 50's Car Shows for this car show season. So you better be there. This is the one that everyone always shows up to. Let's see if that stays true.

This SUNDAY!!! Boy am I excited! The bi-annual (twice a year) Bicycle Bar Crawl hits again. The END OF SUMMER BICYCLE BAR CRAWL is this Sunday, August 28th starting at noon at Pete's place. 5 Bars. An hour at each bar and 15 minutes in between each bar. It's a fun, safe,and good time. Some special guests are slated to show up, two hints, one for each guest. #1 X-Games #2 Australia. HA! Try and guess 'em. As a friendly reminder, no cowboy boots on the bike bar crawl.

Car Show Tomorrow, Thursday

Just a reminder the 2011 La Mesa Village Car Show week 2 is tomorrow. It's new (trying to be). Come down grab a drink and have a good time. Oh yeah drinks until 6PM are $2 for wells, calls and wine and domestice draft and bottle.

Everyday. 10Am to 6PM $2 drinks.

Then starting from 6-8 CAR SHOW SPECIALS $2 Domestic Drafts and $2.50 domestic bottle.

Band Night: Unsteady

La Mesa Village Back to the 50's Car Show last night was a lot of fun. So, if you missed it there's something going on this Saturday, June 4th at Pete's Place. Legendary San Diego rocksteady, reggae, ska band Unsteady will be performing live for FREE at about 9PM. Be there!

La Mesa Village Car Show, Unsteady Band Night, Drink Specials

The La Mesa Village Car Show is coming up and it starts... Tomorrow! YES, Thursday, June 2nd, it's back, they've pieced it together and from the looks of it it's gonna be a good car show season!

Now for the Unsteady part. Legendary San Diego Ska band Unsteady is returning to Pete's Place this Saturday, June 4th with special guests from LA, Foulplay. Get to skankin' and shakin' it up to this great rocksteady sound. There was something else going on that day too...

DRINK SPECIALS. $2 wells, some calls and domestic draughts/drafts 10AM-6PM everyday. Rejoice.

Band Night: 3 Spoke Wheel, Saturday May 21st at 9PM!

"San Diego's Finest Classic Rock!" Well that's what they call themselves at least. Personally, I'm not going to argue with them because Chuck Palumbo is HUGE! Yes Chuck Palumbo, Former WWE superstar, is the guitar player for 3 Spoke Wheel. I'll try to whip up a graphic for y'all since he won't get us the logo HINT HINT! (I hope chuck is reading this...) Anyway, get their early, this one's gonna draw a crowd! This Saturday night at 9PM!

1st Annual Bicycle Bar Crawl - Success!

1st Annual Summer Kick-off Bicycle Bar Crawl was a success in my book! We started with 6 people at Pete's Place. Yes, Web Lackey was present. Carmen and Michael showed up as Team Tandem in matching shirts, Kate plus Eight and of course Marcus and Laurel from The Go Lounge. Lola was present and not up for the ride so Martin and crew had their trucks to make sure she got around safely, and just in case if anyone got too silly to ride their bike. Thanks to our tight schedule we more than doubled in numbers (it just sounds better that way) at the next bar. People were able to catch up and find us. 4 riders were waiting at Norm's when we got there. Here's the first 6 of us, note the tandem...
Thanks Norm! He took a great picture of all of us (it'll be up soon) and he fed us. Then 6 more showed up while we were there, then we headed down to Effin's. That was a long stretch, but we made it there. We gained 1 more rider there. Anyway we ended up with 16 people, and it was a freaking blast! Since Scott couldn't make it, Laurel was doing her best impression of him, sans cast, at Effin's... Then we headed on down to Shenanigan's and that leg of the crawl was awesome. All down backstreets of the Rolando area. Sharp turns and boy was it fast. We got to Shenanigan's and brought life into the joint. Here's a pic of our bikes, and below that one is a pic of some of us in the bar. We saddled up around 3:45, and went up Harbinson, left on Cornell, right on Dana, left on Colony and right on 71st to The Go Lounge. Sounds confusing, but it was easy enough on a bike when you just know where you're going. We got to The Go Lounge around 4:03 PM. Success. Drink specials, great food, Live music by Mike Moran and guest bartender Andrea were there waiting for us to arrive and drink and to party. Oh, and of Course, Lola was put back together... Here's a pic from Tony, that has the bike parking in front of The Go Lounge. Marcus actually had Bicycle parking in the rear but we just threw them out front, it was a long day. Thanks to Laurel and Marcus from The Go Lounge, Scott from Pete's Place, Steve from Shenanigan's, the guys at Effin's and Norm over at Norm's for letting us do this fun event and stop in for some cocktails and beer. This will be an annual event, we're even thinking of doing one at the end of the Summer as well. So two a year, annually. Please join us next time, it was so much fun I can't begin to tell you what you missed out on! ALSO, we're gathering up all of the pictures from everyone present yesterday so we can get an online gallery for y'all to look at, and be jealous.
