Pete’s Place Is Open for Business! Car Show Every Thursday!

Pete's Place is open for business and by business I mean pool tables (both of them), sitting at the bar, standing on the patio, no masks! Well, no masks if you're vaccinated though the CDC still recommends face masks indoors for those customers not fully vaccinated. Hours are normal Pete's hours from 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM every day.

 

Football is returning, so come watch your favorite game on one of our 10 TVs with the NFL Sunday Ticket and as the weather continues to heat up, enjoy our A/C while you have a nice cold beverage and watch some sports.

 

The La Mesa Car Show has also returned and will be running through the end of the month. Stop by for a drink and check out the classic cars parked out on the blvd.

Normal Hours, What the What?! . . . Mind Blown!

That's right, ladies and gentlemen... Pete's Place is back to operating during normal, Pete's Place bar hours, from 10AM to 2AM daily. Of course, in order to stay open we still need you to wear your mask while you're on your feet, and social distance 6 feet apart from people not in your party... all things considered that's probably not a bad thing if you don't know the people around you, amiright?! ::rimshot:: FYI, that helps us to remain open. Do us a favor, and be a part of the solution, and not the problem. ;) Okay, cool thanks.

We've also brought back some bar seating! That's right, you can belly up to the bar. Of course, seating is limited as always (now even more so), but it's a step in the right direction on the road back to normalcy! Come on in and have a drink, you won't be disappointed with the pours at least!

Guess who's Back? ... Back Again Again? ... Pete's Place is!!!

Pete's is back! Again! COVID Shutdown vs. Pete's Place, Round 2! Drink! Bring your masks, you ain't drinkin' without 'em!

The simple rule of thumb at Pete's Place:

Sit down mask down, stand up mask up.

We are back open, and we have food this time!! New California state guidelines yadda yadda yadda you have to have food with your drinks. We've got food from BMH Italian 10 AM-10 PM all day, every day, so good, let me get a shout out for Mama's love juice! :::insert shoutout here:::

Then on the weekends, we have tacos from La Costa Tacos Catering out on the backside SAT Noon-7 PM and SUN from 2 PM-10 PM. You do not have to drink at Pete's to eat tacos. If you just wanna swing down the Allison side of Pete's and grab some tacos, by all means, get your taco on! He has Quesadillas too.

You know what? ... that's enough talkin' 'bout tacos. Here's the menu (updated times right above this!)! Ch-ch-ch-check it out!

FD PD OctoberStache is back, and hairier than ever! [Special Event]

Actually, I don't know the amount of hair to be had, however, it's back! Come hang out with some police officers and firefighters and other first responders at the 10th anniversary Octoberstache event at Pete's Place. Here's what they have to say:

Pete's Place: New Merch! Old look! [vintage]

Back in the day, Pete's Place had this very sign hanging out front. What a cool piece of Pete's Place history. This sign is over 46 years old. The story goes is that in the '50s and '60s salesmen would go around from business to business and bar to bar selling these signs. All basically the same shape, flashing bulbs, and a round center piece where they could customize it and put the name of your bar! Fancy!
These signs can be found all over the U.S. Some still work, and some have been taken down. They're all slightly different, some the same. We took ours down in 1973.

This shirt (available starting today!) is to commemorate this awesome piece of Americana and Pete's Place History. We still have it, and what we do with it is ... well, we'll just have to wait and see.It still works! Kind of... 

 

Big ups to Ken and Mikey from Sew Diego for making all of our recent Pete's gear. Beanies, hats, hoodies, long sleeve shirts all still available. Cheers!

Open Thanksgiving 🦃 Gobble Gobble 10/22 !!

We know how much the holidays mean to you, so the good folks at Pete's have decided to once again stay open for 🦃Thanksgiving, 🎄Christmas AND 🎉New Year's Day. That's right! The annual tradition of having a couple of cold ones after dealing with relatives on holidays lives on!

If you happen to be in the neighborhood this Monday, for Labor Day, stop by Pete's Place for some drinks. We'll be doing the regular Happy Hour from 10AM - 6PM. Fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras) 2/13 and St. Valentine's Day 3/14

Shrove Tuesday, Fat Tuesday, Mardi Gras, or whichever way you like it, is the last day of the Carnival season as it always falls the day before Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. Which also happens to be St. Valentine's Day this year. Drink specials all around!

Bring your favorite throws, and "Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler!" wit' your crew down at Pete's Place. If you're coming down for Mardi Gras, you might as well celebrate Lundi Gras too!
